1974 Jensen Interceptor
VIN # 23111398.
This car started life as a Gold North America export car. I purchased it in 2000 and drove it trouble free for a couple of years. It was during that time I meet Doug and Keri Meyers from K & D Enterprises. I was so impressed and in awe of their work that I booked my car in for complete restoration.
Between 2003 and 2005, as well as the restoration, they added many upgrades such as a GM painless wireing loom and a German wool top and headliner. They also fitted her with a wooden dash ( the '74 should have a vinyl dash ), German high output fans, 16 inch Dayton wire wheels and, best of all, Gen V11 electronic fuel injection.
This car performs and handles like no other car I have ever driven, putting out 485 bhp with 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds.
I took delivery of the car in May 2005. My first stop was the All-British Car Day in Dixon, California, where it walked away with the Best of Class. Later that year we headed to San Diego for the Jensen Owner's Club West Coast Nationals. We prevailed with all top five honors - Best Interior, Best Engine Bay, Best Paint, Best Convertible and the cream - Best of Show.
Since its completion we have covered 16,000 trouble free miles. To see a gallery showing the restoration project click here.
